While Malia’s away at summer camp, her little sister Sasha, 9, will travel to Spain on a special 5-day getaway with her mommy, the White House announced Monday.

The First Lady and her youngest child will enjoy a “mother-daughter trip with longtime family friends,” the White House stated. No further details were given, but Spanish press reports say the trip is scheduled for Aug. 4-8 at the Villa Padierna in Marbella.

Although the visit is considered a private vacation, the First Lady will meet with King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia.

Meanwhile, President Obama will celebrate his 49th birthday on Aug. 4 with a fundraiser at the home of Chicago billionaire Neil Bluhm — guests will donate $30,000 each to the Democratic National Committee.

In late August, the four family members will all vacation together for a weekend on the Florida Gulf Coast and ten days Martha’s Vineyard.
